Love St Thomas Summer Festival returns for a second year with a free community celebration at St Thomas Church on Saturday 4 July.

Following last year’s successful launch event, this year’s festival will feature live music from Freshly Squeezed, Big Fish Little Fish, Impossible Gospel Mission Choir and Poco Drum.

There will also be craft stalls, talks, a bouncy castle, face-painting, a bubble fairy, art with Steve McCracken and entertainment from Uncle Tacko’s Flea Circus.

The church car park will host comedy and DJ sets and refreshments will include tea, cake, an international food market and drinks served by Exeter Brewery.

Love St Thomas Summer Festival is co-ordinated by Love St Thomas CIC, a volunteer-run community initiative which aims to help local projects thrive for public benefit rather than private profit.

It organises community events which include talks and the St Thomas Repair Café, and publishes West of the River, a print magazine distributed free to local households in St Thomas and elsewhere to the west of the River Exe.

A festival crowdfunder prize draw has been launched to help with the cost of producing this year’s event. Prizes include vouchers donated by local businesses, tickets for the Jam The Channel August bank holiday weekend In The Trees festival and more.
