Proposals to convert nine city centre housing association flats in Musgrave Row to commercial use have been submitted to Exeter City Council.
The one-bedroom flats in the four upper storeys of Musgrave House were converted from office use in 1997 and are currently managed by Sovereign Housing, whose tenants are being moved out.
The application seeks to redesignate the flats for Class E use – a recently-introduced combined commercial use class which confers rights to residential use without planning permission.
Comments on the proposals can be submitted via the city council website until Sunday 15 September.
