The Mushroom Show

Scratchworks Theatre Company combines interactive games, comedy and music to explore the fascinating world of fungi.

Scratchworks Theatre Company is bringing a family-friendly fungi-filled production to Emmanuel Hall on Monday 26 May.

The Mushroom Show follows Augustine Fogwoode and her puppet friend Goldie on their quest to share their enthusiasm for fungi.

It combines interactive games, comedy and music to explore how fungi grow and help the natural and human worlds.

Emmanuel Hall has been the permanent home of Theatre Alibi since 1982.

As well as hosting performances for children and families, the venue has become the temporary home of St Thomas Library.

Theatre Alibi has been producing work for young audiences for over 30 years. It hosts events including craft sessions, performances, interactive exhibitions and workshops in local schools.

Scratchworks Theatre Company is a female-led touring company based in the South West which combines physical comedy and audience participation for families to experience together.

Performances of The Mushroom Show take place at 11am and 2pm on Monday 26 May 2025 at Emmanuel Hall. The production is suitable for children aged 5 years and above.
