Wandering Tiger is returning, after last year’s sell-out run, to present An Audience with a Ghost Hunter from Thursday 24 October to Sunday 3 November at St Nicholas Priory.
The performance follows fictional ghost hunter Dr Robin Knapman through the chambers and halls of the priory, Exeter’s oldest building.
Audience members become active participants in the investigation, in which the building’s mysteries reveal themselves as whispers in the dark, objects moving on their own and unexplained noises.
Wandering Tiger is a Devon-based non-profit entertainment company which produces immersive and street theatre, runs community film-making projects and offers workshops, training schemes and work experience placements.
St Nicholas Priory was founded in 1087 by William of Normandy. Following the dissolution of the monasteries its remaining buildings became a prominent Elizabethan town house.
It was subsequently subdivided into several smaller houses and business premises before being restored and becoming a museum in 1916. It has been owned and run by Exeter Historic Buildings Trust since 2018 following a community asset transfer from Exeter City Council.
Performances of An Audience with a Ghost Hunter begin at 6.30pm and 8.30pm from Thursday 24 October to Sunday 3 November 2024 at St Nicholas Priory.
They are suitable for audiences aged 16 years and over. Tickets cost £17.50, or £16 for students and under-25s.
