Sustainability festival featuring talks, workshops, film screenings and community stalls.

Exeter Phoenix is hosting a sustainability festival on Sunday 30 June with talks, workshops, film screenings and community stalls.

The event, which features local environmental organisations and community groups, aims to raise awareness of the climate crisis and highlight ways to fight it.

The Green Phoenix festival programme includes stand-up comedy from Locally Sourced and an open mic session hosted by Extinction Rebellion Exeter.

There will be screenings of Wildscreen Festival films and Exeter cycling charity Ride On will provide bicycle safety checks.

Workshops include vegan soup-making with Love Food CIC, printing with Double Elephant and seed bomb-making with The Crafting Cowboy.

A panel of speakers from Exeter Community Energy, the Global Systems Institute and one half of electro-pop duo Poco Drom will discuss capitalism and natural resources.

There will also be a retrofitting advice session, a live soundscape performance and a tour of Exeter Phoenix’ newly-installed living wall and rainwater harvesting system.
