Devon Cornwall Police chief constable Will Kerr has been suspended by Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez following misconduct allegations.
He was appointed to lead the force, which was placed under enhanced inspectorate monitoring by the police inspectorate last year, eight months ago.
