Information source types
Importance of distinguishing between source types (even though distinctions artificial, overlapping, heuristic)
- Primary, secondary, tertiary (often used by academics cf. Princeton University library guide)
- Original, derivative, meta
Reliable, subjective/partial/biased, fake/misleading/misinformation
- Personal contacts, media gatekeepers, politicians etc are also important sources (cf. perspective sources).
